well hello there

friends! i’ve missed you. {envision the saddest face you’ve ever seen in your life. now times it by 1,000.} i went on vacation and thought i would have internet easily available and didn’t.

forgive me?

alright. let’s get down to business… {to defeat >du du< the huns! …mulan, anyone?}. there are only a few days of november left {say what?! where did it go?}, so here are my thankfulnesses to get caught up:

  • {day 20} i’m thankful for people who go out of their comfort zone to encourage and pray for me. i want to be more like them.
  • {day 21} i am thankful for road trips with my favorite person of all time! and {day 22} i’m thankful for catching up with family and having craft time with the girls.

  • {day 23} i’m thankful for spending a few hours with old friends- and for the fact those friendships feel like they haven’t changed over several years and 600 miles.

  • {day 24} i am thankful for thanksgiving food and that we got to celebrate thanksgivings with 3 bunches of family.
  • {day 25} i’m thankful for a day-cation in st. louis! i’m also thankful for a husband who bought a meal and prayed for milton, a man we met on the streets in the city.

  • {day 26} i am so thankful for my own bed, being back in a routine, and having my whole closet to choose from instead of living out of a suitcase.
  • {day 27} i’m thankful for christmas music! especially the jessica simpson album. it.is.epic.

Caitlin! I’m so glad you’re back! And that is my favorite Mulan song. :)
    20) Autumn spice brownies – yummy!
    21) Looking forward to Thanksgiving morning traditions – Macy’s parade and the dog show.
    22) That I don’t have to host Thanksgiving (or even do much cooking).
    23) My health. I am never so thankful for my health as when I don’t have it! Our whole family is down with horrific colds!
    24) Pride & Prejudice – the Laurence Olivier film (anachronisms and all), the Colin Firth film (perfect!), and, of course, the book. Jane Austen rocks!
    25) Sunday afternoon naps.
    26) Harris Teeter, the best grocery store ever. I have seriously NEVER had a bad customer service experience there and I’ve been shopping there for 13 years.
    27) My own bed. I’ve been sleeping on the couch for the past few days so that I could hear the kids if they needed me in the night (terrible colds). I finally got to sleep in my own bed last night. Yay!

      Yay for thankfulness!

So sorry you’ve all had colds. I hope everyone is feeling better!

I wish we had Harris Teeter around. I’ve never heard of it.

That and 823484530983609842 other grand reasons. I MISS YOU MORE. Sad face. (Notice how sad I am by the fact that I spelled it out and paired it with a run on sentence.)
