undeserved grace

we’re reading a book with one of our small groups right now called what did you expect?? if you’re married or getting married soon, i highly recommend it. we’re only about halfway through it and it’s changed the way i think about marriage as well as the way we live ours out.

a few of the statements that have really made me think:

  • “You are a sinner married to a sinner.” (p. 23)
  • “If you want to damage your marriage go wherever your desires and emotions lead you.” (p. 125)
  • “We always live in the service of one of two kingdoms. We live in service of the small, personal happiness agenda of the kingdom of self, or we live in service of the huge, origin-to-destiny agenda of the kingdom of God.” (pg. 48)
  • on pg. 112 dr. tripp encourages us to trust that God will give us the grace we need at the moment we need it. (thank goodness!)

i am so thankful for both Jesus and my husband. they give me grace when i don’t deserve it one bit and love me in spite of my messiness.

I totally bought this dress and LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDD IT. I had TEN different ideas in mind for how to style it, but it shrank in the wash and became unflattering on me, so I very very very sadly had to return it. I’m thankful that Target let me return it after having washed it! I tried a second one and ran a washing experiment on it being very careful with how I washed it, and it still shrank. It looks SO CUTE on you! I really wish I still had that dress (and that it didn’t shrink and look weird on me after).
