trade it

our church is in the middle of a sermon series called ‘trade’. we’ve been challenged to come up with 100 “trade projects” this year.

a trade project is defined as giving up something good in our lives- a blessing that God has given us, for something better: the goal of blessing another and hopefully having a chance to share Christ with them.

this blog is my journey laid out as i live my trade project: forgoing shopping for a year and giving what i would have spent to an organization that is meeting people’s needs and sharing Christ.

i love that i go to a church that challenges me to grow. sometimes it’s painful, but it’s the hard things that do the most beautiful work in your soul. click here if you want to listen to the sermon series. last week’s (trade week 5 on 2.12.12) was my favorite so far.
