to tell you the truth

i really liked this outfit when i first put it on. looking at the pictures made me like it a little less, then wearing it all day i felt fussy and like there were too many pieces to it. by the end of the day it was definitely not my favorite.

but this blog is a journal of sorts about my journey through a year of remixing my closet’s contents, so i’m going to post it. some days just don’t host the best outfit ever created, and i’m ok with that.

I love your honesty! I also love that you actually wear the outfits you post. Lots of fashion bloggers post great looking outfits but they don’t wear them all day so I wonder if the outfits would really hold up for longer than it takes to snap the photos.
I really like the idea of this outfit but I can see what you mean about it being fussy. Maybe a non-ruffled tee and fewer (or simpler) accessories to keep the focus on the great scarf.

Thanks, Selah! I do have an outfit in mind that’s a simpler version- with a lot of your suggestions, so we’ll see how it turns out! :)

I totally agree with what Selah said above. Sometimes I look at style bloggers and I’m like HOW did you really function like that? No worries, Caitlin, I feel ya. You always look cute, though!

Aww, thanks Audrey! :) I do agree with you girls- one I couldn’t do is the skirts with the long slits up both sides- I’m pretty sure that I’d get stuck in a door. Awkwardness would abound.
