{Remix Rewear Restyle} Polka Dots

#remixrewearrestyle polka dots

Happy Monday, friends! Welcome to Remix Rewear Restyle, a weekly remix challenge to showcase how you style a specific item. My hope is to inspire you {as well as myself!} to remix items already in our closets and gain inspiration from others.

This week’s remix? Friend to dalmatians, old bananas, and of course, a girl’s wardrobe: polka dots.

{My Look}

grayscale + gold

{Whitney’s Look}

gray + pops of color & double polka dots {red + gray is one of my all-time favorite color combos! they really make each other pop.}

{Laura’s Look}

black & white + that gorgeous shade of pink {love that her skirt has a defined waist to add an extra kick to the ensemble!}

{Aubree’s Look}

mixed prints + a pop of color {she remixed her adorable skirt here.}

{Selah’s Look}

bright polka dots + olive {outfits that mix feminine pieces with ‘tougher’ pieces have such visual interest!}

{Amy’s Look}

blouse + polka dot skirt + statement earrings {her skirt is also remixed! see it here.}

{Emily’s Look}

grayscale + a pop of color {her statement necklace really goes with everything! remixed here and here.}

{Iris’s Looks}

black & white + red

polka dot pants + bold red shirt {the cuffed pant leg is another great way to add visual interest to an outfit.}

{Autumn’s Look}

polka dot + floral + cobalt {love those floral toms!}

    Lots of great looks here! I like all the grey and white polka dots – I think I might have to look for some grey polka dots to add to my wardrobe!. This remix makes me want to wear polka dots all week long. Too bad my polka dot top is already in the dirty clothes and it’s too warm for my polka dot sweater :(

      Lol! Well, at least now you’ve got a few outfit ideas for when the laundry is done. Or, if you’re lucky, maybe a cold front will sweep in…

    Caitlin, I’ve never really stopped to think about it before, but you’re right about my “tough” cargo pants looking great with feminine tops. I tend to wear them with ruffled or floral tops a LOT. :)

    I agree with Amy, I’m loving all the gray & white pieces!

    a bunch of lovely “dots” :-)

    I am loving your look! I love mixing the polka dot pattern with stripes!

    • Caitlin Author August 15, 2013 at 8:06 AM

      Thank you, Jessica! I agree- that’s a great pattern pair!

    Love that outfit you’re wearing! You looked gorgeous in it on Sunday :)

    • Caitlin Author August 15, 2013 at 8:08 AM

      You’re so sweet- thanks, Sarah!

    I’m confused about the week day to weekend outfits… I realize 2 pics are needed… But is this the same top/bottom worn different ways for week day vs. weekend? Let me know what you were thinking! :-)

    • Caitlin Author August 16, 2013 at 7:32 AM

      Emily, yes- that’s exactly what I was thinking. You can remix the same top or bottom from week day to weekend or both pieces. Hope that helps! Let me know :)
