{Remix Rewear Restyle Link Up} Masculine & Feminine

#remixrewearrestyle Masculine & Feminine

Happy Monday, remixionistas!

If you’re new here, Remix Rewear Restyle is a weekly challenge to showcase how you style a specific item. My hope is to inspire you {as well as myself!} to remix items already in our closets and gain inspiration from others.

This week, we paired masculine and feminine items. It’s currently one of my favorite ways to remix my closet. Pairing lace with leather, frills with a tailored piece, or a soft pink with navy or olive…the combinations are endless.

I might have gone a little overboard on the masculine & feminine, but I had fun with it. I paired my favorite button up with a teal pencil skirt and added my faux J. Crew diamonds and a boyfriend watch. I also wanted to experiment with a variety of shoes. The booties dress it down (paired with a jean jacket, this would work really well for a casual look) and the nude heels dress it up. When it gets cooler, I’ll add a sweater or even a blazer and wear this to work.

I’ve been a little nervous about pairing booties with a skirt, but I always think it looks cute on others, and it’s growing on me. How do you feel about this trend? Yea or nay?

I can’t wait to see the looks you came up with!

See you next week for a wild link up! :D

I’m definitely pro ankle boots w/ skirts. I wore them for last week’s remix! :)

It looks like you and I had similar ideas for this week’s remix! I did plaid, pencil skirt, and sparkly necklace too!
I’m on the fence about booties and skirts too. I wear black booties with tights and skirts all the time, but I haven’t worn them without tights. I’ve tried on my wedge booties with skirts a few time, but I’ve never made it out the door that way. Some people make it work though!
