Real Food Menus to Feed Your Family for 368 Days

real food round up @ Greater Than Rubies

Turning into those crazy health nuts, cutting more and more processed food out of our diet and trying things like paleo has thrown a wrench in the ol meal planning routine. Who has time to search out all new recipes? I’ve been meaning to simplify my meal planning for a while, and  SIMPLE focus was the perfect excuse.

When it comes to food, if I don’t have a plan, all chaos breaks loose. We end up eating out more than we wanted to and/or we eat junk.

NEWSFLASH: this does not produce happy, healthy humans. Shocker.

So I sacrificed a whole 15 whole minutes to search for real food meal plans. It turns out there are enough to feed us for ever and ever (and ever, amen).

The two we’re currently eating our way through come from 100 Days of Real Food and Attune Foods.

There are a few swaps I’ve made with our favorite meals, but for the most part, I’ll be following these. The only thing I had to do was combine their shopping lists with mine. It was so easy, I started pulling more menus for the days to come:

What’s easier than using someone else’s plan and tweaking it to fit your family? Much less, delegating a lot of those meals to the slow cooker?

Here’s to eating food that does a body {and your schedule!} good.

Caitlin, have you ever heard of Emeals? Dave Ramsey recommends it and it looks like an awesome solution to meal planning mayhem!!!!

I have! It was a while ago, so it could be different, but there was some sort of fee, and I’m pretty frugal, so I didn’t want to pay it :) At some point, it may be worth it though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for doing this! I decided last week that I needed to start eating healthier and my family should too. Now that we’re back in school I definitely need to be planning our meals or we’ll be going through the drive thru on the way home. Not good.

Of course! I know…it’s so tempting to go out when things get rushed. It’s not good for the wallet or body if that happens too often :) Hope your first week back is going well!
