Hey, there is a guy by the name of Josh Garrels you may like. He is a Christian folk artist based out of Oregon. Real low key, but an awesome music ministry. You can hear some of his best on Youtube, but once you get hooked you can purchase his albums on iTunes.
I hop you enjoy him, but be forewarned he is very folky, lol but I love that kind of music!

Essence, thank you for the suggestion! I’m listening to him right now on Pandora and love his sound! I can’t wait to listen more. Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

This post reminds me how thankful I am for this song:

“How He Loves” by John Mark McMillan http://vimeo.com/10868953

I first heard it in church and LOVED it. It is so powerful! When I found out that John Mark wrote it I was surprised. I grew up with him!

THEN, I heard the story behind the song and I was stunned. See, I grew up with Steve too. He was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. He loved Jesus to a point that would embarrass most people. I was heartbroken when he died. Knowing that I have a personal connection to this song takes it from powerful to breathtaking (and tear inducing).

Selah, thank you for sharing the story behind it. I’ve always loved that song, but you’re right- the story behind it makes it even more powerful. Wow. Wow.
