neutral fest

this might be the first time i’ve mixed brown, gray, and black. i think i like it.

another thing i like? the way a maxi skirt or dress makes it look like i put a lot of effort into getting dressed, but it was the easiest and most comfortable option ever.

I have a dress that is a gray/black/brown print and love it! I like to add mint green accessories with it. I wish I could wear maxi dresses & skirts but I can’t find any that fit properly (too long) so I stick with minis and midis.

Ooo mint green. That’s one color accessory I’ll be adding to my collection when this year is up! What a good combination.

        Some hints for 2013 shopping:
I got my mint green belt at Goodwill for $1.99! Think about it: until recently, mint green was a “little old lady” color, and thrift stores are great for that kind of thing!
I also have a mint green bracelet. It was part of a set of 5 plastic and wooden beaded bracelets. I got all 5 for $8.00 at J C Penney. I love those bracelet sets – such a good value!

That’s a great point! I’ll definitely tuck those hints away!

Caitlin, they wear a lot of those skirts in China. I think they are beautiful! Do you want me to get you one?

They are beautiful! Only if you’re shopping for Christmas presents! No need to spend money on me. PS We get to see each other in less than 2 weeks!!

What thrift stores or goodwill stores do you go to here in the McKinney area ?

    • Caitlin July 16, 2012 at 6:24 PM

The Goodwill in McKinney is awe.some. I also really like Plaza Thrift that relocated to the strip mall at Virginia and 75. The Clothes Mentor is my other favorite- although it’s not technically a thrift store, it’s still got great deals. If you know of any others, please share!
