i want to be like her

even as a little girl i loved the description of the proverbs 31 woman. she’s the kind of woman i want to be, but sometimes my fears of what others think get in the way.

i started following several style bloggers over the past few months and they made me brave. sounds funny, but hearing someone say, “who cares what other people think about what you wear?” made me realize that i shouldn’t.

since then, i’ve taken risks and i feel like a daredevil. (i’m such a rebel.)

today i’m starting a blog to explore my personal style and chronicle my journey to become a woman who fears the Lord, a woman who selects wool and flax and works with eager hands (not kidding- can someone please teach me how to sew?), and a woman whose worth is “greater than rubies” to my husband.

I love this verse too! I read it at my grandmother’s funeral a few years ago. She was the closest example I knew. It is a wonderful verse to aspire to for all women.
I would totally teach you to sew! It will open up a whole new world of fashion for you! I begged my grandmother to teach me when I was about 19, and I sewed for 3 days straight. My grandparents were literally begging me to stop to eat and drink. lol. :o)

I would love that! How funny. :) I may be the same way…but if you really want to, I’m absolutely up for it. Do you like coffee? (or smoothies? It’s almost warm enough! Ha :) We should get together- I feel like we have a lot in common and I’d love to meet you!
