fancy pants

these are my favorite fancy pants. i scored them off a clearance rack at the limited while i was in college. they were too short, so my mom let the hem out and voila! they were perfect.

i am very excited, because mom taught me to sew when i was little, but my sewing skills went down the ‘if you don’t use it you lose it’ path. but my parents are moving to mckinney this week and my mama’s going to (re)teach me how to sew!

i hope she’s ready, because i’ve been pinning and evernoting* (can i just go ahead and declare that a word?) things i want to do. first on my list of to do’s is this. i plan to reclaim a pair of my trousers i never wear because the fit is funny. do you have any refashioning tips? please share them!

*evernoting- clipping (evernote talk for saving a webpage) vast amounts of information that i may need in the future. one benefit of evernoting over pinning: you can look less creepy than you are. my 543,762,901 pictures of kendi aren’t visible to the outside world but are handy when i need some outfit inspo.

Did I mention we’re Evernote buddies? Whenever you talk about it I smile inside because really, I don’t know any other girls who actively use Evernote. Annnnnd, yeah, I try not to pin every one of Kendi’s outfits and save them for the same reasons. But if we ever meet, we need to compare how many we have saved to see which of us is the creepiest of them all.

Oh my gosh I literally laughed out loud. You crack me up. I wish we lived close enough to be real life friends. We could have parties and talk about Evernote and Kendi. They’d be off the hook, yo.

Also, I secretly hope that I’m not the creepiest of them all. Would you judge me if I went and stood in front of my mirror right now and asked it?
