eight = fourteen plus

i love this post by merrick (from merrick’s art) over at putting me together.

she showed how 8 good pieces can create 14 (or more!) outfits. in my mind, she proved that a highly remixable wardrobe does not have to be large or expensive.

here are three of my favorite pieces i refashioned over the course of the past month.

  • my denim shirt. it is the best $7 i ever spent at walmart. to be honest, it’s something i didn’t wear for a long time after i bought it. then i started to copy looks i liked (thank you, pinterest) and now i can’t get enough of it. look 1, look 2

  • my red pencil skirt from the attic. if you missed my guest post at audrey’s, click here to read it (i tried to pack it full of tips that would apply to any color skirt as well as inspire refashions that substitute pants or shorts). in my humble opinion, pencil skirts are the bomb diggity.

  • my blazer. it’s my go-to piece finishing piece for a pulled together look. look 1, look 2, look 3

hmm…i wonder how it would look if i combined all three?

    If you combined all three, you might have a winner. :)

    Oh you’re so nice! Thanks for the shout-out!

    I definitely think you should pair all three…it would be a fabulous outfit!
