choose to praise

this song was the first up on my matt redman pandora station today.

i love the way it speaks to praising God no matter what you’re going through.

while the argument can be made that it’s more difficult to praise Him when things are hard, it can also be made that the more difficult time is when they are easy. regardless, praising Him always takes a conscious effort, because we must take the focus off of ourselves. and that is (at least in my life) too easily lost in the busyness and swell of life.

the fact remains, whether things are good or things are bad, busy or not, He still deserves our praise.

i’m overwhelmed by His goodness today, and although it may sound weird, i love each and every one of you and want to tell you that. i know we may not have met, but i pray for you every day. i hope that whatever you’re going through today, you find joy in Him.

Two second comment: I love you too, and am praying for you as well. I’m praying for this blog to prosper. You’re cool & He’s righteous.

Thank you, Essence! You have no idea how much your comment warmed my heart. (I know that totally sounded like an old woman, but it really did! And I fall asleep at 9:30, so I’m an old lady at heart :))

I love that song. It’s like an updated version of my favorite hymn, “It It Well With My Soul.”

I love you too Caitlin. I’ve noticed that when I talk about something I’ve read here, I’ve stopped saying “on this blog I read” and started saying “my friend Caitlin said.”

I think it’s cool that you pray for your readers! Thank you!
