baby it’s cold outside

hey y’all! popping in for a quick post tonight as i scramble around like an {extremely tall} elf getting ready for cornerstone christmas this sunday!

it has gotten c.o.l.d. here! {legitimately cold, like 17 degrees cold.} i’ve been wearing layers upon layers and carrying a mini heater around with me everywhere i go. {you think i joke? i left indiana for a reason.}

it seems more difficult to come up with unique outfits when it’s so chilly, so i turn to pinterest and search for looks i can recreate using similar pieces.

today’s outfit came from this pic. my plan for tomorrow? something¬†like this.

what about you? any layering tricks up your multiple sleeves?

    I’ve been playing around lately with “reversing” my layers. For instance, layering a fitted sweater under a sleeveless blouse instead of over it. It doesn’t always work but it definitely gives me more options. :)

      Good idea! So true- sometimes combos you never would have thought look great and sometimes ones you were sure would work fall flat. Either way, I’ll have to try it

    If I’m wearing a thin, not wintery skirt, I’ll put on a tight mini skirt under it. Bun warmer. :)

      I literally laughed out loud. Hilarious AND brilliant.

    Heh heh…it’s been cold in AR too- below 32 in the mornings. I wore your layered look the next day with pieces in my closet. :). Thanks for the pinspiration!
