armadillo chaser

as much as i would like to be a texan native, i am a transplant.

this year has included a lot of texas ‘firsts’ for me.

  • my first (and second) scorpion sighting.
  • not one, but two snakes attempting to slither their way into our garage (that’s the little one. {shiver}).
  • the grasshopper plague. (eww.)

and lest you think that the only firsts are creepy-crawly related, i have also…

one morning last week, magnum and i were on a walk and we saw a real live armadillo! and by saw i mean lunged for {magnum} and took pictures of it {me}. it.was.huge. thank goodness for leashes or i don’t think this big guy would still be around. i definitely don’t want to chalk that up as a texas first.

Ahhh I’m so itching to wear plaid. I love yours paired with the cross body bag. Annnnnd, when I was in Texas in May there were definitely lots of creepy crawly things, which I didn’t mind that much…but I do have to say that the bugs we saw were e n o r m o u s. Indeed, everything is bigger in Texas, including the bugs.

Ha, I love that while Magnum is pulling at the leash you still think to take a picture. You’re awesome.
