ooh that’s a great cardi! love the idea of wearing it as THE piece, and not just a layer.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but it was super comfy and I felt librarian-esque chic all day. It’s definitely going to be a repeat.

I have a purple sequined cardigan that I bought for my husband’s company Christmas party. I wore it buttoned up with a black skirt, hose, and heels. For a long time afterward I could never figure out any other way to wear it and it was too dressy for anything else, even church. Finally, I had an aha! moment (followed immediately by a duh! moment) when I realized that, being a cardigan, I could wear it unbuttoned as a layering piece. This allowed me to dress it down enough to wear to church, date night, family get togethers, and other social occasions (still too dressy for my everyday wife and homeschool mom life). My fave look is the cardigan open over a black velvet cami, with dark wash skinny jeans tucked into black suede boots.
